Apple Ginger Juice

Apple Ginger Juice

It’s surprisingly easy to make your own apple juice, and it only takes a few minutes. In fact, it’s so easy that we’re embarrassed to tell you how to do it, but here goes. Our version includes fresh ginger to give it a spicy kick that sums up autumn just about right.

1 apple, peeled and roughly chopped

1/2-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled

1/4 cup water

pinch of salt

3 or 4 drops of honey (seriously, that’s all)

Put first three ingredients into a blender and blend on high until thick but liquefied; if it’s too thick, add a little more water to loosen it up, then continue to blend for a few more seconds. Strain through a sieve, then add salt and honey and stir well. Will keep in the refrigerator for up to three days.
